What brush to use? Well, even though there are 'specialty' skin brushes sold for 60 bucks and more (eye roll) I've found that a normal natural bristle brush - made by Goody and ready at any drug store, WalMart, Target or Kmart - works Just as well. Don't get caught up in the marketing!!!!

How to Dry Brush (Easy, Fast Instructions):

1) Begin with your feet and brush vigorously in circular motions.
2) Continue brushing up your legs.
3) trek, to your hands and arms.
4) Brush your entire back and abdomen area, shoulders and neck.
5) Use circular counter-clockwise strokes on the abdomen.
6) Lightly brush the breasts.
7) Brush upwards on the back and down from the neck. Better yet, have a friend, spouse or house member brush your back.

After brushing, take a hot shower with Soap (about three minutes in duration), followed by a 10-20 second cold rinse. Repeat this policy three times. If the hot/cold showers are too extreme, a warm shower can be used. Effect the shower with a rubdown with either a sycophant or towel to take off dead skin.

2) Now, once a week, Effect your dry skin brushing with this instead of with a shower....A detox bath.

Fix Up Your Feet
Mix eight strawberries, two tablespoons of olive or corn oil and one teaspoon of kosher salt. Mix into a paste, being right not to over blend. Massage into your feet, rinse and relax.

Perk Up with a Facial Mask
Mix one tablespoon plain yogurt with the juice of 1/2 orange. Use your fingers to plane the composition on your face and let it remain for five minutes. Rinse off and enjoy the clean, refreshing feeling.

Facial Mask for Oily Skin
Finely grate one apple. Mix five tablespoons honey into the grated apple. thought about apply to face and allow to remain for 10-15 minutes. Rinse and relax.

Hair Mask
2 egg yolks

1 very ripe mango

2 Tablespoons plain yogurt

1 cucumber

1 Tablespoon lemon juice

1 egg white

2 Tablespoons oatmeal

2 Tablespoons powdered milk

Blend all ingredients together in food processor or blender. plane gently onto face, and allow to remain on for five minutes and rinse off.

Foot Soak and Scrub
3 Tablespoons sliced almonds

1 Tablespoon honey

1/2 cup coconut milk (canned, ready in most grocery stores)

1 lemon, cut in half

Kosher salt or tasteless raw sugar

In a small bowl, incorporate the honey, almonds and milk. Fill a box large sufficient to soak your feet with hot water (bath temperature.) Pour the coconut milk and honey composition into hot water and mix. Soak your feet for a few minutes to get them soft, then dip the lemon halves in the salt or sugar and rub them on your feet to exfoliate. Soak your feet for 10 minutes more, and then pat them dry with a towel. Use body butter or lotion to keep your feet feeling smooth.

So, here is an easy and yummy smelling home-made soap formula to get you started and in the mood for more. You'll want to secure your ingredients a few days in advance. Have fun!

'A' is for Apple Soap

4oz. Clear, unscented glycerine soap

1 Tablespoon liquid soap

1 teaspoon liquid glycerine

1/2 teaspoon Apple Fragrance Oil

2 drops Red Food Color

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Melt soap in small pan over low heat. Add Liquid soap and glycerine and stir well slowly Add fragrance, color and cinnamon. Stir and let stand a consolidate minutes, until you see it start to thicken and the cinnamon is mixed evenly. Pour into molds such as muffin tins or character candy or soap molds. Allow to set completely and store in zip lock warehouse bags.

When the soaps are all set, they make great tiny gifts for extra occasions. How cute would they be as a 'Teacher Gift' at Christmas time, especially if you use 'apple' molds. There are more home-made recipes and ideas at 'Natural You Mineral Makeup and Skincare.com'.
